Last night’s show at the Sunset Tavern was fun. The band, which currently consists of me and Aarons Huffman and Brown, with fill-ins from Rob Knop, was short-handed due to Aaron Huffman’s having a baby (Lionel!). So it was seat of the pants.
And the pants held up despite occasional lapses. Was told we were tighter than in the past, which is funny since we had very little practice. Played with Gavin Guss, who is a song monster, and ABrown and I did a cover of Gavin’s “With You”, which seemed to flatter him (fucked up the lyrics in the last verse and never got the angularity out of the guitar solo that I got in practice, though; gonna work on that and get it in shape).
